Happy new year

Hi there Polkadot!

Let’s begin the new year with a card.

I received this bundle of gilding waxes by Creative Expressions to create stuff for the Cartnscrapart blog.  It is a really grey and dark day today, so it was rather impossible to capture the sheer glow of those waxes on my paper!

I tried to capture it by closeup, but it doesn’t do it any justice.

I clear embossed some white inked stamped images on kraft paper.  I took some of the blending solution that comes with the waxes and went to town.  The solution doesn’t smell like a rose garden, so I guess you should use it in a well ventilated area.  I mixed a little of the wax and the blending solution on my craft sheet.  Took a brush to it, and blended three colors together (real red, copper, gold)

I finished of the card by hand lettering my greeting, and going crazy on dotting the background with a white paint pen. I backed up the kraft card with black and put it on a gold greeting card.  Happy new year everybody!
